it's been forever

It's been so long since I've written here...but here are a few things happening.

At the moment, I am trying to stay awake until the parents of the kiddos I watched this evening return. We had quite an eventful evening which included throwing up, staying up too late and me not caring a whole lot. It was okay I guess.

I have for the past half hour been trying to keep myself awake by looking at guys' photos on match.com. Man, that was fun, but 99% listed religion as Spiritual, not religious. Makes it vague and difficult to wade through a sea of potentially great people out there. Oivay.

I am reading The Great Gatsby which makes me feel a bit sophisticated. A good excuse to open a bottle of wine.

Am still (as my friend Abi has so aptly stated) in education and learning about education. Learning about learning I guess. It's good stuff but my motivation is waning a bit. I need Thanksgiving to come soon.

Recently whilst studying on campus or at coffee shops, i have caught a few guys (okay two..maybe three) looking at me. Sorta checkin me out. Now, I don't know if they did that before, or if I suddenly am appearing quite gorgeous with the reflection of my computer monitor in my eyes, or something, but it has been happening lately. Guys checkin me out!
Yesterday I caught a guy looking at me, as I got up to throw something away, and neither of us knew what to say or how to handle it. I kept studying and then, ever so slowly got up to leave, giving him ample time (or so I thought) to come up with a line or something. But I just gave him a little grin, he nodded, and then...I walked out. Drat. Just another in a long line of colossal mistakes. (not my line, I stole it from John Cusack.)
